We care for others from birth to death

Sometimes holding a hand until the very last breath

We work long hours sometimes without a meal

Our dedication and diligence are focused to help heal

Sometimes an unsung hero, but our commitment is replicated

The empathy and kindness that our devotion created

You have served your time as a nurse and all its glory

Now it is time for your loved ones to tell your story

Years of caring for others without any reserve

Now it is your time for you to rest as you well deserve

With your eyes resting as to sleep

Enjoy all the rewards that you will reap

Vivid colors, flowers, and beautiful flowing streams

You will occasionally come to your love ones in their dreams
