 We wear the traditional white nurse's uniform  worn from the  1930's until colored uniforms and scrubs started being worn in the 1980's. This uniform is what most people still associate with nurses, despite not being worn in almost 50 years! This is why we wear it--to pay homage to our rich history as nurses.  Each nurse is responsible for the purchase of their own uniform, a Nurse Honor Guard Uniform Dress Code  with instructions on where to purchase the various parts of the uniform is given to each new member as they join.
